The Venice Canals in California are getting ready for Halloween 2010. As some of you know, I have written a few blogs about this national treasure over the past few years. Many tourists visit California and go to Venice Beach and are totally oblivious to the Canals that are nearby.
The ones, who are familiar with this wonderful location, look forward to visiting this great destination during the holidays. For those of you who are not familiar with the history I am enclosing an older blog about it.
Now my recommendation is plan on about an hour or two to stroll and gaze at the decorated homes in the canals. It is truly a great free event. Then after the fun of looking at the decorated homes go and visit one of the many Restaurants nearby. I have written a long time ago about two great ones nearby.

Last year the Mercedes Grill had a Halloween Party which started around 7:30pm as soon as it got dark another great place to go to after your stroll in the Canals.
