September 12th, 2014: Pepperdine University’s Flags on the Lawn!
Diane and I were driving back home on PCH. We went shopping in Camarillo. Every year we try to do something different for her birthdays. This time it was the outlet stores in Camarillo. On our way back we drove by Pepperdine University.
There were all these flags on the lawn that you never see anyone… there were thousands of flags mostly US and a few foreign nations’ flags. Clearly it was a tribute to the victims of 9/11/2001. Had we counted I am confident it would have been the exact amount of people who passed away.
It was truly a touching moment. Sadly her birthday will never be forgotten because it is the day after 9/11….
