Do you bake or boil your beets? I bake them for a deeper flavor

If you are looking to add more flavors to your beet dishes my advice is clear and simple: you must bake them. By boiling them you will take just as long time wise, but  the difference is  most of the flavors will  get boiled out.

Next time you are planning on making a beet dish. Try using aluminum foil add a little olive oil and sea salt. Bake for about an hour or longer depending on size of the beets at 325 F.

Let it cool so you can handle it and using paper towels remove the outer skin. This will guarantee your beets will be so much more flavorful than if you boiled them.

I am very generous when it comes to using paper towels, if you are a bit more frugal get a plastic or rubber gloves and then use fewer paper towels to clean the beet’s outer skin .

Once you are done depending what you are doing cut to the desired size. I was planning on making a Tuna Tartar with beets (another recipe to follow) hence the cubing on my part.
